Where is it?

Évora is a historical city in the Alentejo region, in the southern-central part of Portugal. This city is the capital of the Évora district and the only Portuguese city member of the Most Ancient European Τοwn's Network. It's historical center has been recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1986.

How to get to Évora

The historical city of Évora can be reached by train or bus from Lisbon airport. Both bus and train stations in Lisbon can be reached with the metro, straight out of the airport. The bus stop in Évora is closer to the historical centre than the train station, and the timetables are more convenient. The corresponding metro stops for the bus and train stations are Sete Rios and Oriente, respectively.
Metro tickets can be bought at the station, right in front of the airport exit. They cost 1.50€, and do not forget to keep the ticket with you so you can exit the station! You can find the buses schedules here and the trains, here.
